Happy Moments Around my house.

I dont know about you, but I have certain things around my house that just give me warm and fuzzy feelings and when I pass by them I have a happy moment. Wether it is a perfectly placed throw (that only stays in place for about 25 seconds) or a newly hung picture frame, I have a brief moment of glee. Here are a few things that have given me happy moments this week. This vase is one I had my eye on at Ross for about a month. Went this week and it was 6.49. I have it in my house until I have just the right decorating project for it. I love how funky and surprising it is with the teal peaking out from the inside.
I am constantly changing my mantel and this is one little vignette I love. I have had all these items in different places in my home for years, but alas, they all fit so well together. smile.
These are blooms on our very own tree in the front yard. This is the first spring since our new landscaping. I love it.
So I found this curtain panel at Burlington Coat Factory for....get this...4.99. I actually exclaimed out loud when I saw the price (I think my friend was a bit embarrassed). Anyways a quick fold and it is my new favorite valence in the kitchen window. If you are interested in trying this, here are the steps.

1. Get a cheap curtain rod from Walmart
2. Fold the long window panel over several times, until you like the length.
3. Drape it over the rod and use two pieces of ribbon to keep it in place.
4. Stuff the inside of the curtains with plastic bags to get a more full look.

Thats all! How easy and cheap is that?
